Queenstown is set in a magical backdrop, making it one of the most beautiful towns I’ve ever visited..located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, surrounded by snow capped mountains, and most importantly with a great vibe to the place. I loved the time I spent there. We had a little bit of everything – adventure sports, hiking, cultural activities, fine dining and great nightlife. The first day it was snowing and I was wrapped up in my alpaca jumper and the next it was so hot we were out sunbathing in the park! Our days were spent hiking to get better views of the surrounding area, going for walks and frisbee golf in the park, enjoying ciders in the sun, doing a canyon swing and lots of laughs in between. Our first evening we celebrated our final night with the full KE bus and Poncey, the next we did a pub crawl including seeing the ice bar and a live music gig, and finally our third night was the good old pre-drinks in the hostel followed by dancing the night away in the find..great fun was had with the awesome crew from the KE bus. An amazing few days to finish off my amazing NZ adventure. As always I had to say goodbye to some great friends here, but I’m sure life will find a reason for us to meet again in the future.
